Domain detail changes how a system should be built.
A booking engine and a reconciliation ledger are both "a web application" only in the most useless sense. Regulated data, dealer networks, long committee buying cycles and seasonal demand each push the architecture in a different direction. Here is what we have learned building in each.
Platforms · Portals · Compliance
Fintech
Systems where a reconciliation error is not a bug report, it is a regulatory conversation.
Financial products carry constraints that change the architecture, not just the feature list. Every state change needs an audit trail. Data residency is not negotiable. A migration cannot lose a single transaction. We build with those assumptions from the first design session rather than retrofitting them after the first audit finding.
Common asks: customer portals with statement access, internal reconciliation dashboards, partner API platforms, onboarding funnel rebuilds.
- Reconciliation and ledger accuracy under concurrent load
- Audit trails that satisfy an external reviewer, not just an internal one
- KYC and onboarding flows that convert without cutting corners
- Data residency, encryption at rest and in transit, key rotation
- Role separation so no single account can both initiate and approve
Portals · Integrations · Consent
Healthcare
Patient-facing systems where careless data handling is the one failure you cannot apologise your way out of.
Healthcare work moves slowly for good reasons. Consent has to be explicit and revocable. Records integrate with systems built decades ago that will not be replaced. Clinical staff have no patience for software that adds clicks to a twelve-hour shift. We design around the workflow of the person actually using it, then make the compliance layer invisible to them.
Common asks: patient portals, appointment and intake systems, clinic admin dashboards, integration middleware, compliance-aware marketing sites.
- Consent capture, versioning and revocation that holds up under scrutiny
- Integration with existing hospital and lab systems, including legacy formats
- Access control granular enough for clinical, admin and billing roles
- Appointment and reminder flows that reduce no-shows measurably
- Audit logging on every record access, not just record change
EKA Mobility · Dealer networks · Launch
Mobility & Manufacturing
Product ranges, dealer networks and fleet data — where the website is only the visible tenth of the system.
This is where we have done our most substantial work. Manufacturing and mobility companies carry a specific shape of problem: a wide product range that each need genuine specification depth, a dealer and distributor network that runs on relationships rather than software, long institutional buying cycles, and engineering teams who are rightly sceptical of marketing claims. We have delivered three separate programmes for EKA Mobility across exactly this terrain.
See the work: web platform, growth marketing, AI enablement.
- Product ranges that need depth per model without a redesign for each launch
- Dealer and distributor portals replacing spreadsheet and WhatsApp coordination
- Fleet and telematics data made legible to non-technical operators
- Long B2B and government buying cycles with committee decision-making
- Launch campaigns that reach fleet buyers, not just enthusiasts
Product · Growth · Multi-tenant
SaaS, PaaS & IaaS
Multi-tenant products where the growth problem and the architecture problem are the same problem.
In SaaS, the funnel and the product are not separable. Activation depends on onboarding, onboarding depends on the data model, and the data model determines what you can even measure about churn. We work across that whole line, which means we can fix an activation problem in the product rather than throwing more top-of-funnel spend at it.
Common asks: product engineering capacity, onboarding rebuilds, admin and billing consoles, PLG funnel instrumentation, infrastructure cost reduction.
- Tenant isolation done properly — a permission bug is a breach, not a defect
- Self-serve onboarding that gets a user to value before they lose interest
- Usage metering and billing that survive edge cases and plan changes
- Product analytics instrumented so churn signals are visible in advance
- Free-to-paid conversion mechanics that do not feel adversarial
Booking · Inventory · Seasonal
Travel & Hospitality
Booking flows and inventory sync, under demand that triples for six weeks and then disappears.
Travel systems fail in a specific way: they work fine until the moment they matter most. Seasonal peaks, a viral promotion, or a schedule disruption all arrive at once, and the booking engine that handled a hundred concurrent users is now handling four thousand. We build for the peak and design the marketing spend to match the seasonality curve instead of fighting it.
Common asks: booking platform rebuilds, channel manager integrations, seasonal paid programmes, performance work ahead of peak season.
- Inventory and availability sync across channels without double-booking
- Booking flows that hold up at peak concurrency, including payment retries
- Cancellation, refund and modification logic — where most complexity hides
- Seasonal budget pacing so you are not bidding hardest in the dead month
- Multi-currency, multi-language and regional payment methods
Portals · Cohorts · Retention
EdTech
Learner portals and cohort operations, where the metric that matters is completion, not signup.
EdTech has a well-known problem: acquisition is solvable with budget, and completion is not. The systems that move completion rates are unglamorous — progress visibility, timely nudges, and giving instructors a way to spot the learner going quiet in week three. We build the operational layer that makes those interventions possible.
Common asks: learning portals, cohort management systems, retention and lifecycle programmes, enrolment funnel optimisation.
- Learner portals with genuine progress visibility, not just a content list
- Cohort and batch operations: scheduling, attendance, submissions, grading
- Retention loops driven by behaviour, triggered before the learner drops
- Instructor and admin tooling that reduces manual coordination
- Assessment integrity without turning the product hostile to honest learners

We have also shipped in logistics, real estate, professional services and retail.
The pattern transfers more often than not. If you have a wide product range, a partner network, regulated data or a long sales cycle, we have probably solved the shape of your problem in a neighbouring industry — and we will say so plainly if we have not.
